Oolong Tea Base Recipes for Bubble Tea Shops
Start with one controlled oolong concentrate, then turn it into five sellable drink families: light milk tea, classic milk tea, fruit tea, lemon tea and cold brew.
Why tea-base recipes matter
A small beverage business does not buy a tea base only because the dry leaves look attractive. It buys when the tea can become a repeatable menu item. FEISHUIJI organizes each B2B oolong base with a production brew standard and six starter formulas so a shop can test aroma, body, cost and staff repeatability quickly.
Base concentrate standard
Use the product page for each exact tea-to-water standard, then keep the finished-drink formula constant during the first test. A good starting point is a concentrated oolong tea soup that can carry milk, syrup, fruit or ice without disappearing.

How to choose the first four menu tests
- Pick one milk recipe and one fruit or lemon recipe for each tea base.
- Keep the cup size, ice and sweetness constant in round one.
- Score aroma, body, aftertaste, visual appeal, staff difficulty and cost per cup.
- Repeat the top two drinks after 15 and 30 minutes to test holding performance.
- Use photos of the best finished drinks in the shop menu or sampling sheet.
Common adjustment rules
| Problem | First adjustment |
|---|---|
| Tea is hidden by milk | Increase tea concentrate by 20g or compare a richer/roasted base. |
| Drink feels too dry | Shorten steep time before reducing tea dosage. |
| Fruit tea feels thin | Use a slightly stronger concentrate or reduce added water by 30g. |
| Lemon tea tastes harsh | Reduce lemon, add 5g syrup, or select a more floral base. |
| Cold brew lacks aroma | Raise dry tea from 10g to 12g per 500g water or extend steeping by 2 hours. |
