How to Plan a 500g Tea-Base Sample Trial

Begin with one or two defined drinks, controlled recipes and decision criteria, then link every observation to the product, batch and formula version.

Define the decision before shipment

  • Target drink and cup size
  • Milk, fruit or flavor system
  • Expected monthly volume
  • Target sensory profile and cost range
  • Pass, revise and reject criteria

Allocate the 500g sample

Reserve tea for an initial brew calibration, controlled comparison, recipe optimization and a final repeat. Do not consume the entire sample in an unfocused menu experiment.

Use three rounds

  1. Screen: compare the tea in one constant recipe.
  2. Optimize: adjust extraction or tea-to-milk ratio one variable at a time.
  3. Confirm: repeat the chosen formula with intended staff and equipment.

Return useful feedback

Report product code, batch, formula, ingredient brands, scores, images, conclusion and next action. Specific feedback allows a useful second sample or quotation.

Use the controlled testing guide and cost-per-cup guide together.
